Skaldr is an American black metal band born in 2017 in Virginia. Comprised of experienced musicians offering their first representation in the heavier aspects of music, the group joined together to explore shared interests in the darker elements of expression. Weaving inspiration from the likes of Dawn, Dissection, Windir and traditional folk music into their musical tapestry, Skaldr treads upon narrow pathways carved between beauty and brutality, calling back to the rare early era of melodic black metal with their captivating, furious and emotionally gripping spirit.
Continuing with the melodious gloom of their debut album, Scythe of Our Errors, Skaldr beckons from the darkness once more with their sophomore record, Saṃsṛ, which will be released via Avantgarde Music in early 2025. The first single, “The Crossing”, can now be streamed exclusively via Avantgarde Music YouTube channel, while all further relevant information and preorders will be disclosed in due time.
