US black metal trio Skaldr will release their sophomore album Saṃsṛ next January. Saṃsṛ, of which the first single “The Crossing” is up for streaming on Bandcamp and YouTube, is the result of over four years of hard work and follows debut album Scythe of Our Errors (2020).
Continuing with the melodious gloom of their debut album, Skaldr beckons from the darkness once more. Saṃsṛ is a thematic observation of loss, devastation, and change, Saṃsṛ reflects on how death and life, formation and demise, are bound in an inextricable cycle—each sustaining the existence of the other in perpetuity.
Saṃsṛ was recorded at Trepan Studios and mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound Studio. Featuring artwork by Adam Burke, Saṃsṛ will be released by Avantgarde Music on CD, vinyl and digital on January 31st, 2025
