Hailing from Northeastern Italy, Gorrch formed in 2010 as a duo composed of brothers Droich (guitars, bass) and Chimsicrin (drums, vocals, keyboards). Over the years, Gorrch carved their niche in the Italian underground with a singular, uncompromising vision of black metal — from the feral intensity of their 2013 self-titled EP and the 2015 full-length Nera Estasi, to the more experimental, dissonant, and atmospheric textures of their 2020 EP Introvertere.
Rare live performances and an aura of mystery — not least the vocal-masked front presence of Chimsicrin — have helped Gorrch build a cult following among the followers of extreme, chaotic black metal.
Stillamentum marks Gorrch’s long-awaited return, as well as the first collaboration between the duo and Avantgarde Music. Stillamentum is a full-length album steeped in claustrophobic intensity, dissonant chord structures, and relentless sonic tension. From punishing tremolo riffs and blasting drumming to cavernous production that evokes suffocating atmospheres, the record channels the band’s obsession with sound as ritual and catharsis. Gorrch push further into darkness with an unwavering commitment to raw emotion and existential dread, crafting a labyrinth of shadows and pain.
The first single “Nimbus” is available for streaming worldwide on all and every platform, Bandcamp and YouTube.
Produced by Andrea Petucco (Ad Nauseam), Stillamentum will be released globally on January 30, 2026 via Avantgarde Music, on CD, vinyl, and digital formats.
