Unfyros is a Finnish black metal band from Oulu, founded in 2018 by Anti Ittna H (ex-Dolorian). What began as a solitary venture of primitive and private recordings between 2018 and 2020 soon demanded a stronger force — a heartbeat of its own. In spring 2021, the shadows of the past brought forth Nox Vector, who joined as a full-time drummer and percussionist. With this union, the foundation for the debut album Alpha Hunt (2022) was set in motion. In early 2023, a small live tour across Finland required the circle to be completed. Rather than relying on session members, Unfyros sought full dedication — and so T. Von Kollaja joined as bassist.A three-edged dagger was forged.
Forged in darkness and solitude, Unfyros stands in defiance of modern ideals — breaking open the inner vault where total experience and raw Power await. Tempered by the blazing otherworldly fire, the band follows unwritten doctrines and silent laws. Thus, the name Unfyros: an entity both possessing and pervading — a liminal flame seeing through space and time eternal.

Unfyros is an ongoing exploration into the deep-rooted hidden passages of the psyche — a means of communicating with and giving form to the metaphysical entities that lurk behind the veils. The band operates as both master and vessel, channeling reflections from outer dimensions and the depths of atavistic consciousness. It is a continual process of self-forging through awakened knowledge and ecstatic madness — a ritual act of transforming reality itself. Musically, Unfyros conjures old-school, mid-tempo black metal steeped in dark, hypnotic, and menacing atmospheres. Their sound is driven by dissonant yet captivating guitar work, minimal yet monolithic bass lines, and trance-inducing, primal drumming. The vocals emerge like a swarm of spectral daggers — raspy, commanding, and unearthly. Above all, Unfyros exists as a lifelong ritual — a tool for reaching beyond known dimensions and merging with the otherworld continuum.
The band operates entirely on a DIY ethos, ensuring the purity of their vision remains untarnished. All recording, mixing, and most of the visual work is done within their own TriArk Chapel and Katajan Kaiku analogue studio, using real analog methods to preserve the raw and tangible essence of sound and image alike.
