Convulsing is a one-man Australian death metal project masterminded by musician Brendan Sloan, known for its raw intensity, dense atmospheres, and unrelenting brutality. Emerging from Sydney’s extreme metal underground, Convulsing blends elements of dissonant death metal, blackened ferocity, and avant-garde experimentation, creating a sound that is both chaotic and immersive. With critically acclaimed releases like Errata (2016) and Grievous (2018), the project has gained a cult following for its uncompromising approach, emotionally charged compositions, and suffocating sonic landscapes.
Convulsing is known to be an independent project, only collaborating with selected labels for limited runs of merchandising, hence it is with great pleasure that we announce the release of the band’s third album Perdurance on vinyl via Avantgarde Music death metal division Unorthodox Emanations. This release will be a collaboration with Total Dissonance Worship, which will carry an exclusive version of the vinyl for the US market.
Convulsing‘s third album was originally released in 2024 as a name-your-price digital release on Bandcamp, and has never been availalble physicallly until now. Perdurance will be available on double LP starting May 2nd, and preorders are available now.
