Light Dweller is an American blackened death metal project founded in December 2017 by Cameron Boesch in Phoenix, AZ. After seven years and four full-length albums, Light Dweller will partner with Avantgarde Music’s death metal division, Unorthodox Emanations, to release its fifth album, The Subjugate, on February 28th, 2025.
Inspired by a broad spectrum of dissonant and melodic influences — Cosmic Putrefaction, Defacement, Mesarthim, Convulsing, Violet Cold, Mare Cognitum, and more — Light Dweller has forged a unique path through the darker, more obscure realms of metal, with The Subjugate being the very latest milestone of said path.
Unorthodox Emanations will release The Subjugate on CD, LP and digital, and first single “Cessation Of Time” can be streamed already via YouTube. Cover by Adam Burke, layout by STRXart. Preorders will open in late January.
